We’re inviting Manari Ushigua, the spiritual leader of the Sápara nation in the Ecuadorian Amazon.

The Sápara, a matriarchal society that has lived in harmony with nature for millennia, now number just 600. UNESCO honored their oral traditions as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage.

Manari is one of the Amazon’s foremost renowned healers and spiritual leaders.

He has spoken at the UN and other global conferences, bridging Sápara Indigenous wisdom and our modern world. He is passionate about sharing his ancestral wisdom, supporting people in remembering and understanding their dreams and reconnecting with the spirit world. (More about him here)

The 5-day Retreat Program

We are pleased to present the following event schedule in collaboration with San Miguel de Allende community leaders. Participants are welcome to join the events individually or as a complete series (one event is subject to an interview).

Retreat details

Location: San Miguel de Allende, a UNESCO World Heritage site and named the world’s best small city by Condé Nast (approximately 3.5 hours by car from Mexico City).

Price: Approx. $600 USD, depending on participation. You can join one or all events. The total cost is around $600 USD for all events, paid directly to the organizers. Additional donations are welcome to support preserving Sápara culture and pristine rainforest.

Accommodation: Except for February 9th-10th at Sagrada Holistic Ranch, where we recommend staying, is to be arranged independently.

Food: Some events include food, while others, like the hike, do not. You will need to arrange your own food between events.

Transportation: We can recommend reliable shuttles from international airports to San Miguel and local transportation options within San Miguel to move between event locations easily.

Day 1 – Thursday, 6th February

Morning: Manari is available for private consultations (book here) or land blessings.

Evening: Private event (invitation-only)

Day 2 – Friday, 7th February

Morning: Walk and talk with Manari in the Mexican wilderness.

• Location: Outside San Miguel
• Time: 10:10 am – 1 pm

Evening: Family-Centered Ceremonial Gathering with Manari

• Location: Valle los Senderos
• Time: 4-9 pm

Day 3 – Saturday, 8th February
